NATE writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
The Book out of the Dust is good. The setting is a farm in oklahoma in 1934-1935.The main charecters are Billy Joe her mom and her Dad.This is during the dust bowl.Billy Joe torches her mother her mother dies giving birth to Billy Joes brother witch dies and Billy Joe runs away.read to see whats next.
The book Out of the Dust has some strengths and weaknesses.A strength is only billy reads.Another isits first person point of view.A weakness is the poems dont ryhme.Another is the poems are sad.
I reccomend this book.Historical fiction lovers will love this book. Its a good book for anybody really.I espescilly reccomend this book because it got an award. You will have to read it to see if you like it.
