Jason writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
Out of the dust is a book is about a girl named Billy Joe who lives in the time of the Dust Bowl. She accidently kills her mother, because of an accident caused by her Pa! Because of this, she is blamed and poeple say "She threw the pale." The 'okie' girl decides to runaway, but returns home when she decides her future lies at home. It has many strengths, and only a few weaknesses! I would highly recommend this book. Once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down! WELL GOODBYE!!!
