Leigh writes the following about Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio :
Small Steps is A very Powerful and meaningful book to read. It tells you not only what Peg Kehret, the author of her own story, went through but also what it was like to have something as horrible and as devastating as polio. By her book, Small steps, Miss Kerhet gives all in need hope. She tells of her success and, in my eyes, urges others towards success. Miss Kerhet Tells us of the most memorable years of her life, The year She got polio. She tells us what she went through, good and bad. And The times she shared with her new-found friends, who shared her devastating sickness. All in all, Small Steps is a book to read. Its factual and a true meaningful story about a part of someone's life, they will never forget, published for the world to read about. And I too, will never forget, The story Peg Kerhet told to me, and I will never forget, the small steps she took into history.
