I thought that this book was really good and relatable. It’s about a freshman named Scott, who goes through his freshman year and learns a lot as he goes. He realizes that he is fortunate to have a great family and good life. As he seeks one girl he ends up finding another. A girl named Lee who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. He also finds out who his real friends are the ones who are with him when it counts. That’s where Westley comes in. He is a tough guy but is soft on the inside. Also Mouth, Scott didn’t realize he was a friend until he almost lost him. The bully in his life is not only the football jock Vernon but his former best friend Kyle. While juggling high school he is about to be brother. While Sean is on the way he starts to write a journal of what to do and what not to do, but finds out learning from your mistakes is the best advice. I give this book a 10 because of how relatable it is and how interesting it is to read. It even includes life lessons. The only thing I would change about it is that the dad to find more interest in Scott’s writing. If you are in need of a great book Sleeping Freshman Never Lie is the right choice.
