Kobe Bryant writes the following about Hoops :
Trevor The main characters in the book Hoops are Lonnie Jackson, his mom, and his basketball coach. This book takes place in New York City, 1960. The theme is basketball and how you should practice to get your dreams and it?s kind of about how you should always love and take care of your family. I also like how they have their own uniforms that cool. Also how much he played and how good he was. I would give this book 8 out of 10 because I like the theme basketball and how he helps out his mom with bills. I think this is a good book because It?s cool to help out your family by getting a job to help your mom out and when he?s done he still has time to play basketball. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes basketball and whoever thinks it?s cool to help out family. When he put that part about robbing a liquor store, I didn?t care for that. He could have been robbed or someone told to rob something? That would have been alright with me. Besides that it was a good book.
