Zucchini is a book about a boy who is very lonely until one day. He sees a ferret that had run away from the zoo. He gets the ferret and bring it to a building for animals. Zucchini, the ferret makes new friends that he helps escape. The boy comes back and gets Zucchini and keeps him and loves his new, unusual pet.
