Lauren writes the following about The Child Called It :

I read "A child called it". This book is about a young boy who has a good life as a child, but as he grows older, his once "perfect" mother, becomes very abusive. I would recomend this book to everyone that likes to read about true stories. i read this book in 2 days and i still want to learn more about this child abuse case. I am now reading "The lost boy". I think that this is a very inspirational story that can make some kids realize just how good they have it, because just like Dave, there mothers or fathers could have beaten them or starved them for not completeing their chores on time. I think that this is one of the best books that i have ever read. lauren
