Book Review
This story is about a fifteen-year-old girl name Callie who has a problem with self-mutilating. So she has been sent to a treatment facility were she makes friends with the girls who are there, and try’s to help the other girls with their problems, but is to scare in confronting her own problems. Having family problems and not having anyone to talk to about her troubles, she relies on cutting her self, yet she does not know why she does so. Eventually after being stubborn about getting help, her doctor helps her with her cutting problem. In doing so she comes out of her “box” so to say and try’s to help the other girls with their problems.
This book is good because it goes inside the mind of a troubles teens, and the process why they got there in the first place. The reality is that teens now and days are going through more and more stress and problems and some see no way out of them, but to do sertin stuff that makes them forget about those issues. I think this is a good book for young teens, because it makes them see that avoiding your problems or ignoring it, and not confronting them can lead to more and more problems down the road. I give this book a 4 out 5 stars, because it’s a short novel and its seems that to kind of fast if u get into it.
