Rudolph writes the following about Cut :
Cut is a book about a girl named Callie. She is a 15 year old girl who lives in a residential treatment facility and doesn?t speak to anybody. Like any caring parents, her parents and doctor sent her to Sea Pines after finding out that she cuts herself, but she doesn't know why she does it. As she recovers her voice, she confronts the family with her destructive behavior. She also starts to understand all the other issues that the other young women are confronted with. I would rate this book as a 10 because this could really happen in real life. I enjoyed this book because the author, Patricia McCormick, put the reader in the shoes of one of the characters, and that makes you understand what Callie is going through and I like to see the main character from different point of views.
