Scuba writes the following about Flowers for Algernon :
This book is very good. It makes you really think, Do I want to take a risk and be smart. I actually thought this book was non-fiction. I thought that because the characters are so believeable. 37 year old mentaly disabled Charlie, Dr. Nemur & Strauss who want to be famous and have fortune, and of course Algernon. They all just seem like normal people.
It was sad because even when Charlie was smart no one could correspond with him. At the beginning no one understood him because he couldn't even talk right, and when he was smart no one could understand his big words. I think during the course of this book, Algernon was Charlies only friend. I know Algernon's a mouse, but he wa the only other living thing that went through the same operation as Charlie, and I think they had a special bond.
I would recommend this book to all ages. It is enjoyable and it makes you thin kof a lot of good questions.
