latina 4 ever! writes the following about Zlata's Diary :
his was a good book. it really gets into detail about the horrible things that happened to Zlata.
this story begins when a girl in sarajevo bosnia lives a happy, normal life. she goes to shool, plays the piano, and participates in choir. when suddenly theres a war going on outside of sarajevo. shehad no way of snowing that their weekend house outside of sarajevo would be destroyed, or that her best friends would be killed playing in the park. poor Zlata!! i think that people should actually admire her because i think that they would not be able to go through a war like she did. so, read this book, i think that you would enjoy it! there are some happy moments, but there are also some really sad parts that almost made me cry. so go ahead, make fun of the book, but i don't think that you would be able to live the way she did, so hhmmff...
