This book is about a boy named david who was often beated by his mother.He thought that his dad was the only hope of surving but, he was wrong.Sooner are later his dad stoped helping him and lost the battles between him and mother.He had to stole food to surive but it worked for a few weeks but then when he went home mother made him vomite to see what he had ate.Then she showed it to father and, then she made him eat it.One day when he came home mother told him to take off his clothes.She then grabbed him and held his arm over the stove.She did this because in a book she read that you cant lie over a hot stove.When he thought things counldn't get worse she told him to sit on the hot stove but he made time by talking to her and telling her stuff because he knew that his brother was coming home and she wasnt going to beat him in front of his brothers.So when she heard the door open she stopped and froze because she knew she was going to be caught.A few months after the burn incident she had a baby boy named ron.When he got older she brainwashed him into being her little spy.He told if david did any thing wrong.While the boy meaning david he was not david any more he was referred to as boy.He was washing the dishes and mother said if he didn't finsh in time she would kill him with the knife.Ron was on her leg and he was rocking and mother fell to the ground and the knife flew out of mothers hand and landed in davids chest.When he went to tell dad that mother stabbed him he told him to go back and do the dishes.He said that if he went back and did the dishes he would not tell mother.A long time after that father left and that was the end.
