A child called it is a story told from first person by Dave Pelzer, it is of him growing up as a little boy liveing in his home,where his mother abuses him in the most awful ways, by starving him, stabbing him,makeing him sleep in the cold garage, makeing him sit in the dark on the basement stairs all day, she made him throw up, made him sit in a locked unventalated room with bleech, sometimes let him eat from the trash, force fed him his younger brothers dippers,he wore the same cloths every single day with holes in them, and beat him till he couldnt go any longer...this story tells how daved survived all of this and how so many poeple never even knew it went on. this book is very depressing but at the same time insperational. Theres always something happening, and there never a dull moment. I strongly recomend the sequals aswell.
