amy L.L. writes the following about Sang Spell :
In the sang spell by phyllis naylor a boy named josh is hitchhiking to his aunts after his mothers death. Then he is robbed, beaten, and left to die in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, people find him and welcome him into their community.Yet this is no regular place. There are no radios, cars, T.Vs or anything modern. The people there seem trapped in time. When Josh tries to escape all paths lead back to the start, and landmarks shift. Is something or someone trying to keep him there? Would is just be easier to hide away hidden in time? Is there even a reason to try and start over after his mothers death? Even as he wonders he knows must find the secret behind this strange place or he may be staying whether he wants to or not.
