patrick h. writes the following about Holes [UNABRIDGED] :
The story is about a kid named Stanley Yelnats. He changes in this story alot by becoming stronger and he learns how to live in a hot environment. In the story he goes to a camp. The camp is where bad kids to when they get in trouble. The camp is in the middle of nowhere. At the camp you have to dig a hole five feet deep and five feet across in every direction. A hundred years ago there use to be a lake but it is dried up. I give this book an eight because it is about surving in a hot environment with only a little bit of water. I hope you take my advise and read this good book.
