Candy Gurl writes the following about Speak :

This was one of the greatest book i've ever had 2 read. Its about a gurl named Melinda who finds out that things are not what they seem. She attends an end of the year party with her friends and gets drunk.( She soon meets Andy Evens)He seems like the perfect guy sweet, handsome and loving. But he RAPES her. She calles the police and everyone hates her.( no one knew that Melinda was raped)She starts her freshman year off with no friends, hopes or dreams.Her grades start 2 slip and the only 2 places she fells save is in art and an old Janitors closet. I'm not going 2 ruin the rest of the book u just have 2 read it.
