Among the Betrayed By; Margaret Peterson Haddix 156 pages Ages 9 and up Among the Betrayed is a surprising book. The main character Nina was offered a deal. If she finds out the maker of the fake ids from 3 kids she will get to live! If she doesn?t she will be killed. The only problem is that the kids wont say a word to Nina. After a couple of days in the cell with them, she finds herself all alone with the keys to her jail cell. Her options are to take the three kids with her (Matthias, Ali and Percy) or go by herself. After a couple of minutes of thinking, she decides to takes them with her. After they go past a camera unseen they get out to the open. Their destination is Nina?s old school. Only problem is he is at the boys school and Nina has to go in and find him because she is the only one how has seen Lee before. Will she find him or get caught by one of the boys at the school? Margaret Peterson Haddix is a great author. She is he author of of the entire Shadow Children books and a couple of other really good books. She will make you think, cry, be happy and surprised by her books. Especially in the Shadow Children?s book?s. Among the Betrayed is a surprising book. At the end of the book everything gets different. You will be astonished at how the book ends. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Review by: Sergey
