Miranda writes the following about Among the Imposters :
Among The Impostors Margaret Peterson Haddix 10-14 172 pages I really enjoyed reading Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It?s a book about shadow children (illegals). Luke is the third child in his family. Luke has been hiding for 11 years or since he was born. Now he has to go to a school and come out of hiding. When he gets to the school, Hendricks School for Boys, he discovers that everyone at the school, teachers and students, were all mean. Everyone is mean to Luke and he doesn?t even know what classes to go to. Luke finds a door open that leads to outside. Luke sneaks outside and shuts the door behind him. He is finally free from all of those weird and mean kids. He sees a forest and decides to go to the forest since classes already started. Luke wants to make a garden so he has good food to eat and so that he won?t always be hungry. One day when he went to check on his garden, he saw footprints on the garden and his plants were ruined. A couple days later he went back to the woods and there were boys talking from Luke?s school and girls talking from Harlow School for Girls. Luke buds in and accuses them for ruining his garden. Later, he becomes their friends. I like this book and I think it?s a very mysterious book, some parts are kind of confusing, but most of the book is easy to understand. Among the Hidden is a great book and I think that Margaret Peterson Haddix did a great job writing the story. I recommend this book to every one. This is a fiction story. Reviewed by Miranda
