Mark writes the following about I Play to Win. :
I read the book I Play to Win by Stan Mikita.Stan was a young boy from Chekoslovakia. His parents promised his dads brother their next child. That was Stan. He moved to Canada when he was eight. He started to play hockey when he was young. He began to get good at it. When he was 18, he was asked to Blackhawks training camp. He made the team. From 1959 to 1969 he played in the NHL. He Played with the same team his whole career. He won the Stanly cup in 1961. He also holds the record for most penalty minutes by a center. I gave this book a seven. It is about the hardships and luxaries that a hockey player goes through. Overall it was good, but sometimes it was boring. He wrote it himself and I gave him points for that. If you like hockey you'll like this book. If hockey is boring to you, stay away from this book.
