Amy writes the following about Lyddie :

I think that this book is written well, regardless if you are interested in the subject or not. It makes you feel as if you are in the time period and experiencing everything Lyddie is, going through pain with her and celebrating when she is. I wasn't interested in this book, but through and through, it was a good read. If you didn't enjoy it, you don't know how to appreciate a good book and are ignorant to good writing, just looking to entertain yourself.
