Monique M. writes the following about Black-Eyed Susan :
The book Black-Eyed Susan is about living on the prairie. Ma, Pa, and Susie live in a sod house. One early morning Susie was up and on the roof to watch the sun come up, after the sun comes up, and she jumps down and papa caught her. Susie and pa go to town to get some supplies. They get Mama a gift. On their way back they have to go through water. The main character is Susie. I rated the story 10 because it told a lot about living on the prairie, and how they traveled, and lived. I also rated the illustration 10 because it goes along with the story, and they were interesting, for example if it talked about going across the water, the picture would go with the story (which does happen in the book).
