Set in the current day and told through the journal of Ellie Linton, the very Australian daughter of sheep farmers, the book "Tomorrow when the war began " is the story of how a group of Australian teenagers respond to the surprise invasion of their country. The book tells of how a group of seven main charaters faced with evasions, attacks, escapes, triumphs and disasters. In the book the seven teenagers they have to grow, make their own decisons and be responsible. the characteres change over time.
